Kunlun Dayan - Wild Goose Qigong
Grandmaster Michael Tse
Kunlun Dayan Qigong (chi gong) or Wild Goose Qigong, as it is more popularly known, is a traditional health skill that was a closely guarded secret and was passed down from a Master to only one specially chosen student who was not allowed to pass on the skill until they had reached 70 years of age.
This profound healing skill is over 1,800 years old and initially came from the Daoist monks who lived in the Kunlun mountains in China, where a famous Buddhist monk known as Wei Dao An also helped develop the forms by copying the movements of the wild geese which they learned would help to heal illness, make the body become more flexible and so consequently live longer.
Great Grandmaster Yang Meijun had been studying with her Grandfather Yang Tak Shan, since she was thirteen years old. He told her she was to be the 27th generation inheritor of the Kunlun Dayan Qigong system and made her promise not to show anyone until she was 70 years of age.
Great Grandmaster Yang Meijun, who was already over 80, decided to open up the skill to the public to enable more people to benefit. She chose some of her close students to continue teaching the Dayan Qigong skill.
My Sifu (Teacher) Mike Baker, is a Senior student of Grandmaster Michael Tse (Tse Qigong Centre), who is one of those carefully chosen students and who has been passing on this skill since Great Grandmaster Yang Meijun gave permission in 1988.
This beautiful, natural and precious skill, helps the body become more flexible, the joints to be loose, calms the mind to be more balanced and when practiced regularly will increase health and so in turn increase longevity.
